Weekly Menu and Honeymoon Wrap-Up

Sunday, November 3, 2013

I'm back.

And, we're hitched!

Mr. and Mrs. Doane, and the Best Dog King (of course).  Wooooooooooohooooooooo!

Without a doubt, it was the best day of my life.  I wouldn't have changed a single second of it.

I know, I know, a little cliche'.

I reserve the right to be a complete and utter sap about my wedding day.

I'll stop gushing now.

On to the weekly menu, which is short and sweet thanks to my trip to Chicago at the end of the week for continuing legal education; an attempt to slowly ease myself back into the real world.

Weekly Menu

Sunday: Herb and Pecan Pesto Stuffed Pork Tenderloin  (recipe to come)

Monday:  Bolognese with Meatballs and Spaghetti Squash

Tuesday: Pulled Pork Tacos with Sweet Chili Slaw from How Sweet It Is (recipe here)

Wednesday - Saturday:  Chicago for Continuing Legal Ed

Honeymoon Wrap-Up:

We spent our honeymoon in a secluded little cabin in Sapphire Valley, right outside of Cashiers, North Carolina.  King joined us, the leaves were gorgeous, and we had plenty of time to kick back and relax - in a word, it was perfect.

 Hike at North Carolina Arboretum.

View from Sapphire Heaven.

Lunch at Old Edwards Inn.

Granny Burrell Falls.

Homemade happy hour.

The edge of Little Green Mountain.

Whiteside Mountain lookout.

Challenging hike to Sapphire Falls.

Easy hike to Whitewater Falls.

Perfectly eerie Halloween.

Enjoying the last night.

Saying goodbye to our cozy cabin.
