Not So Much a Workout

A few things:

1.  I have wee-bit-o-trouble keeping track of the days.  I'll often wake up bouncing-off-the-walls-excited that it's Saturday, relishing the fact that I have a whole day to do whatever the heck I want, only to quickly realize it's Wednesday.  Another common occurrence in my world is fast forwarding our travel plans.  I'll get so excited about upcoming weekend getaways that I will make them a week or two earlier than they actually are in my mind.  Which is exactly what I did this week.  Scott's Strong Man competition is actually March 27th, not this weekend as I indicated in the weekly menu.  Rather than rewriting the menu, I quickly scheduled dinner with friends Friday and Saturday night.  Weekly menu snafu solved.

2.  I finished the second season of Scandal this weekend.  I'm devastated. I'm lost. My life is devoid of racy, glamorous, cliff-hanging television entertainment.   Recommendations for new potential TV addictions are welcome.

3.  I'm currently wanting this, this, these, this and this.  Which brings to mind the old saying "People in hell want ice water; that don't mean they get it."

4.  Scott and I both had trouble falling asleep last night.  We knew we were in trouble when we didn't crawl into bed until 11:00 p.m. (very late for us). The situation worsened when we both proceeded to toss and turn for at least an hour trying to fall asleep over King's excessively loud old man snores.   Not only that, I simply could not shut my brain off.   When the wake up call came at 5:00 a.m., I made the executive decision to forgo what would inevitably have been a crappy workout in favor of the rest my body most definitely needed.   Thus, this is the end of today's post.  Happy Monday!

The Snorer

  1. I'm adicted to Scandal too, I finished the 2nd season a few weeks ago and I'm having a hard time waiting for the 3rd. I recomend you A Good Wife, it has intrigue, a powerfull female character, scandals...

    1. I've heard that the Good Wife is really good. I will have to give it a shot. Thanks!
