It's always good to see another Friday.

We actually have some free time this weekend thanks to my mix up of Scott's Strong Man competition, so my goal is to tackle a few DIY home projects.  First up, painting the front door.  I've been less than thrilled with the color of our front door since we moved in over two years ago.  It's a boring, plane Jane, coppery brown.  Snooze.  After this weekend, it will be this color:

How amazing is that house??  Cedar Shake.  Window Boxes.  Robin's egg blue.  I die.

I'm using Benjamin Moore's Thunderbird Blue.  It's the perfect robin's egg blue.  I'm thinking it will make our front porch so much more vibrant and eye catching.  Hello curb appeal!

Next up is painting one of our extra bedrooms (one I like to call Scott's "man room" because he has taken over the closet despite my many attempts to move us both into the master closet) a dark, moody gray.  I fell in love with the paint color in this room when I pinned this picture several months ago:

I chose Benjamin Moore's Amherst Gray, which is a similar deep gray with a hint of brownish undertones.  Now if I just could find a similar antique pub sign (Megan - hint, hint) and a tufted leather sofa, we'd be in business.

Today's Workout:

1.  Warm up

2.  Ab Circuit:
      - Ab Wheel x 12
      - Leg Raise with Hip Lift x 12
      - Modified Reverse Hyper-extension x 12
      - Side Bend 50 lbs x 12 per side

3.  Sled: 90 lbs x 100 yards

4.  Overhead Press Ladder: (super set with band assisted pull ups in between each set)
       - Warm up: Bar x 5
              Pull up x 1
       - 1st set:  50 lbs x 5
              Pull up x 2
       - 2nd set: 55 lbs x 5
              Pull up x 3
       - 3rd set:  60 lbs x 10 (goal was max reps, no more than 10)
              Pull up x 4
       - 4th set:  55 lbs x 5
              Pull up x 5
       - 5th set: 50 lbs x 10 (goal was max reps, no more than 10)
              Pull up x 10

Pull Ups

Pit stop for some scratches. 

"Awww Yeahh"

5. Prowler:  3 trips, 100 yards per trip, 30 lbs on the prowler.

At least one of us was having fun.

    1. They are the worst. If I never had to do a damn pullup again I'd be just fine.
